MONROE MICHIGAN'S CLASSIC BICYCLE AND MINIBIKE SHOW, SWAP MEET AND AUCTION.

April 27, 2025, will be the 44th Anniversary of the Biggest, Oldest, and the Best Antique and Classic Bicycle and Minibike Show in the Nation.

This one-day event held at the Monroe County Fair Grounds, 3775 S. Custer Rd., Monroe, MI 48161, will host over 250 dealers from across the continent. The last show at Monroe had more than 10,000 Classic, Vintage and Collectible Bicycles and Minibikes on site representing nearly every major bicycle and minibike maker in the last century.

The $6 admission (kids under 12 free) to the Show provides the public with a variety of opportunities to participate in the bicycle and minibike collecting hobby like nowhere else in the nation.

First and foremost are the Show Bikes. Typically, 50 to 75 bicycles are entered into seven categories judged by the area’s foremost collectors. Awards are presented to the first-place winners in such categories as: Best Pre 1930’s Classic, Best 1930’s to 1940’s Classic, Best 1950’s to 1960’s Classic, Best 1970’s to 1980’s Classic, Best BMX, Best Motorized and Best Custom.  Bikes must be registered by 11am to be judged.

Next is the “Classic Bike of the Year Award”. This is a judged event, which focuses on some of the finest, rarest and most sought-after bicycles in the bicycle collecting hobby. All bicycles are from private collections and are seldom seen outside of museums or auctions. The winner will be crowned “Classic Bike of the Year”.

Next are the Minibike Awards.  See the area’s largest and best collections of Minibikes in the country. This is also a judged show with trophies awarded to all 1st place winners to be determined at the show.

There will be an auction for anyone wanting to sell their bicycles or minibikes.  No titled vehicles please. You may preregister to sell your bikes or register on Saturday or Sunday the day of the sale by 11am. Sale time is 12 pm on Sunday.  The registration fee is $10.00 with a 10% commission. {registration fee deducted from commissions} See registration form for full details.

The Show features a Classic Bike and Minibike Corral located right outside the main entrance of the EXPO building. Anyone who thinks they may have a valuable or collectible bike or minibike can sell in the Corral for only $10 and let the crowd decide it’s value.

This is a great event for the entire family. The bicycle and minibike displays will surely bring back many interesting memories to all the grown-ups whether it’s their first bike, their paper route bike, or even the bike that you got for Christmas. It may even provide an opportunity to fulfill a dream and finally get the bike you always wanted.

Once one learns how to ride a bike, one never forgets that first feeling of freedom and excitement. Here is a great chance to see what this great hobby is all about, take some pictures of the bike you had as a kid and share a great family day together having a unique experience that only happens once a year. This event is indoors and outdoors, so rain or shine the show is on.
